RISE Program Kicks Off with Strong Start in Toowoomba

Published Wed 04 Jun 2025

The 2025 RISE Rugby League Development Program launched on Monday night at the Toowoomba Sports Ground, with an impressive 114 participants turning out for an action-packed first session.

Despite the cold and rain, spirits remained high as players embraced the conditions with enthusiasm and determination. It was a fantastic start to the program, highlighting the commitment and passion of our young athletes.

Adding to the excitement, members of the Western Clydesdales Hostplus Cup squad were on hand to support and engage with the players, a genuine thrill for all participants and a great inspiration for those aspiring to reach the next level.

The night included initial player testing, followed by engaging attack and defence skill sessions designed to set a strong foundation for the weeks ahead.

A special thank you to all the parents and families who braved the weather and supported the players. Your involvement is invaluable in making programs like RISE such a success.

The next Toowoomba session will be held on Monday, 16th June.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the Warwick RISE Program, which kicks off this Sunday, continuing to expand opportunities for young rugby league players across the region.
